The privately-owned Bell House, a Virginia Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a beautiful Victorian built in 1883 for Colonel J.O.P. Burnside, son of Civil War General
Ambrose Burnside. It next served as
the summer residence for the family
of Alexander Graham Bell.

Riverview Inn
Originally the Westmoreland Motel, this Colonial Beach landmark was built circa 1950, just half a block from the Colonial Beach Pier on the Potomac River. As ownership changed over the years, it became the Riverview Inn where it was completely renovated but maintains its original charm with neon signs and bright retro 1940’s-50’s colors.
Dennison Street Inn
Built in 1893 for the first mayor of Colonial Beach, Dennison Street Inn is an historic Queen Anne Victorian gem. The owners have painstakingly restored the home to its former glory; and today it operates as an award-winning bed and breakfast with modern comforts and attention to detail.
